A Frozen Halloween

Her first real character love is Elsa! Anyone surprised by this haha I didn't think when Frozen came out back in 2014 that it'd be popular enough for me to have a daughter years later so into it! She loved this dress and still wears it to bed and during the day most days! And if I tell her she has to wear something else, she insists on bringing it with us to hold as her blanky. I think we might need to get her an actual Elsa blanket for her birthday!
The twins, Kinzley and Paizley came to town and went to a Halloween party at the Spring Preserve with us! They had so much fun holding hands everywhere and getting candy from strangers;)
We hosted a pumpkin carving party with some friends from the neighborhood. Nothing gets you ready for the Holiday like roasted pumpkin seeds and caramel apples!
Our cousins came to town and went to the Gilcrease Pumpkin patch with them!

We happen to be in town for the Spendlove Family pumpkin painting and cookie decorating party this month!
Perfect October with just the right amount of activities!

Hello 3rd Trimester

12-28 Weeks

Hello, 3rd Trimester!! Here's the update for those interested. I have been really slacking at updates for baby girl #2 and I'm having major mom guilt about it. I am thrilled for this baby just like I was with Grace but it's a lot harder to sit down and blog when you have a busy toddler running around needing your attention! I have some random photos but some are just weeks apart! I'll try to get a few more before she makes her appearance. Now to try and go back to document a few things from this pregnancy before I forget them all.
I haven't had any crazy cravings this time around. Just the usual pickles and for a few weeks I mostly lived off bagels and cream cheese. No major food aversions or sickness after about 20 weeks. I tested negative for gestational diabetes again, which is great because I don't know how I would have been to cut my sugars/treats! I have a possible inguinal hernia that may or may not require surgery after the birth but fingers crossed it doesn't get to that point. I have had pretty bad varicose veins on my left ankle and starting up my leg. It is quite a sight but wearing compression socks helps. Other than the usual 3rd-trimester aches and difficulty sleeping, it's been a pretty good pregnancy.
We think we decided on a name, but I'll keep it private until we see her. Luckily, we have a backup. For some reason, I just haven't been able to really say I know who this little one is. With Grace, I knew that was her name. I'm hopeful as soon as I see her, I'll know! She gets the hiccups as much as grace did. ALL THE TIME! and lately, she's been making huge movements more than just a quick little punch/kick. I think it's because she's on her move head down. I took a breastfeeding course last night to refresh my memory and hopefully set myself up for success. I am very hopeful this time around goes better for us. I realize we had a lot going against us last time around as a first-time mom and moving back from Georgia in the first few days. I got a new doctor at 28 weeks haha I was first assigned one in vegas that I loved but then she left for maternity leave. The one I got assigned to after, let's just say we didn't mesh well. At first, I was just going to suck it up and stay with her but then I remembered how scary and uncomfortable delivery already is and the need to connect and trust your provider. The new doctor I found is Dr.Julie Goodell and I'm much happier and feel more calm about it all. Hopefully, I'll manage to get one more post up before she comes but we'll see! ;)

21 Weeks + a little update for Grace

We had our 20-week anatomy scan and everything looks great! What a relief. I pray everything stays that way. The doctor also confirmed we are in fact still having a little Girl! My morning sickness has definitely gone away! I was really starting to think it never would but it's exciting to think I'm past that morning sickness phase with this pregnancy. Now I am feeling my energy start to return and even a little nesting mood coming on. One of my favorite phases! Grace has been extra sweet with baby sis. Praying for her, giving her loves and kisses and talking about how baby sis is growing in her belly too. ;)

Lately, it's as though Grace is growing and changing so much every day! One of my favorite things lately is when she says "we all together!" We were in Utah for a while without Ethan and so when we were all back together again she was just so happy. Now she uses that phrase a lot while hugging us. It's the sweetest little thing to hear and I love that she loves when we are all together!

She still loves to hold hands and especially in the car or when she's going to sleep. It's another sweet moment to hear her say " momma hold my hand?" I'll cherish it for now and miss it soo much when she outgrows wanting to hold my hand.

Grace had her first haircut! :( We had Aunt Terra do it while we were on the mountain at our reunion last week. As much as I didn't want to do it I knew she needed it. She had a pretty long mullet going on and her bangs were constantly in her eyes. It turned out really cute honestly and just took some getting used to but Terra gave her the cutest little bob. I'm hopeful her hair will grow back in more evenly next time and less "business in the front, party in the back" style!

Photos to come!

Floyd Lamb Park

We have now been living in Vegas for about 4 months. Granted it hasn't felt that long with our random trips like every other weekend back to Utah for family or work things. In our time here in Vegas we've done A LOT to the house. New paint, new carpet, new flooring and a few fun DIY projects here and there. With sooo many more on my "Honey do list". It's actually funny they call it that because I will most likely be the one doing them with my mom and sisters. We love a good DIY. Anyways, we have found our favorite place and it's called Floyd Lamb Park. It's a 2,040-acre park that is centered on Tule Springs, a series of small lakes that formed an oasis in this part of the Mojave Desert. The park has walking trails, lots of open grass for picnicking and big beautiful trees! It completely feels like we're back in Utah when visiting this park. The best part? The park is crawling with wildlife! Peacocks, bunnies, geese, ducks, and fish! Honestly, I hated the geese! They were huge and closing in on me, circling and flapping their wings. So yes, I threw my whole piece of bread and climbed up on a picnic table! Totally abandoned Ethan and Grace. Surprisingly, Grace wasn't even nervous. Ethan just held her and she threw the bread out like a pro. Even Ethan was slightly nervous by these big ferocious...geese! We got there kind of late but managed to get a few decent photos before nightfall. Oh and we were definitely not the only ones there taking photos. There was soo many photographers out there doing shoots. It's one of the most popular places for photography I guess! We already talked about going back tonight for a picnic and if you come to visit it'll be on the list of places to show you!

And of course I had to add the videos, just ignore the bad quality!
