Memorial Weekend!!

Every have one of those moments you wish you could live in forever? I caught mine on camera Sunday. Such a perfect afternoon. Us three were eating on a blanket in our backyard during a family BBQ. Then our little picnic turned into a little laying down eating popsicles, watching the wind blow through the trees (which amazed him), bonding time. Getting this kid to sit still for longer than 5 minutes is pretty much impossible, so for him to lay with us and enjoy the relaxation for about 20 was amazing. He's the cutest especially when he talks to us in his complete gibberish and goes on and on because he believes we understand him. Oh and can we talk about how hot my husband is? Wowza!

For memorial day Shay and Tyson went riding with us out to Toquerville Falls. I was in desperate need of sun! This is the first full-time job I've ever had so sadly I'm indoors most days so when the chance to enjoy the sun comes around, I'm all for it!  Shay & Tyson are our number one go to adventure buddies. If you are not a twin you will never be able to really understand the bond that twins have and the awesome fact that I will always have a best friend. ALWAYS! Plus now that we are both married we make for perfect double date buddies for life! I love having a twin, my twin!

Sooo relaxing, just soaking up the sun! As you can see, we both needed a bit haha

Our mighty strong men!

Oh good news, Eth and I were called as Valiant 8 primary teachers!! I mean Brother & Sister Janson. So weird! haha We taught our first lesson on Sunday and we already love our kids. :) Eth is a natural with kids and teaching. Me, not so much! I love the kids but I am not very good at giving talks or lessons. I recently was telling Eth I didn't really feel like I was progressing and wasn't sure what to do...well the Lord sure did. I think having this calling will really help me improve so I'm excited! One things for sure, being in primary is a great form of birth control ;)

Oh and shout out to my awesome husband! Today marks 5 months of bliss spent with him! :)

Weekend roadtrip with the Twin&hubby

This past weekend one of my old roommates and best friends got married!! Shay&Tyson Eth&I decided to go up to the wedding and make a weekend out of it! She was married in the Bountiful LDS Temple and a reception in the cutest little town called Garland. It was awesome witnessing the first live sealing since mine and I was so happy I was able to be there to see just how happy Kaylyn&Garland were together. I wish them a life full of happiness, love, laughter, and scorebars;) (only a few roommates would understand this)

The reception was gorgeous! A nice shabby country theme in a field. Plus we finally got to reunite with this beautiful gem.

The bountiful temple was in full bloom. loved it!

Other than the wedding we were able to go to another RSL game!! Eth has really helped my love for RSL to grow! We met up with one of eth's mission buddies and date. Fun date night!

While we were in Logan visiting Tami and Keean we got to try Aggies ice cream and met up with our old time friends Lisha and her husband and Chris and his girlfriend! They took us up to the Logan canyon for smore's and a campfire. So good to see them!! (sorry for the bad quality, took it off facebook)

We also did a lot of other random fun things. Like movies, shopped at Scheels, of course we had to eat at Madocks where Tyson ate a 32oz steak! Good memories! I'm so lucky to have a twin and best friend to go on roadtrips with and that our husbands get along so well! Here are just a few random pictures from the trip as well...

Found this neat thing across the street from the bountiful temple! #dr.who

Eth also got to meet a man who wrote a story about his life and serving in the FBI in Russia! So of course Ethan went over and started speaking to him in Russian. He gave Ethan his email to have him send a free copy of his second book and offered to come do a fireside for our stake. Eth was like a little boy...so excited!!

Mothers Day!

Mothers day was fantastic...and I'm not even a mother yet. I wanted to do something special for my mom that I could do myself and not have to spend a ton of money on, unlike a clothing item that she may not even like anyways. She was always saying she needs pictures of all of us for her desk at work, so I figured why not include us all in one. She cried... I made my mom cry! She loved it!! Probably the best gift giving moment for me just to see how happy she was and how much it ment to her!

WE LOVE YOU MOM/GRANDMA <3

Surprisingly, Sunday morning I woke up to breakfast in bed from Eth. He made eggs, bacon, and chocolate milk...my favorite! He said something like, "I know you're not a mom yet but you will be someday and I just wanted to do something nice for you." What a sweetheart! I am the luckiest. :)

Today's a short post but I just wanted to share my first mothers day with eth. I have the best husband and family in the world. And the best examples in my mom and sisters, of how to be such loving, caring, and beautiful mothers! Happy mothers day to all you moms!!

This time last year...

Wow, time flies. I say this all the time. probably too much. Just this week a year ago, I was in Hawaii with some of my best friends!! However most importantly, this day last year was the day Eth and I shared our first kiss!! Awww ;) But really, it was awesome! We snuck out of our condo at 5 am to a deserted beach before our flight left!  What a life changing kiss..as cheesy as it sounds. No joke though, from that day on Eth and I were inseparable.  A lot has changed since Hawaii... but I wouldn't change any of it. New job, new house, new relationship status, new friends...just new! I've learned a lot about other people, but most importantly...about myself! I love where life has taken me and I'm so blessed to have Ethan in my life. He makes me so happy. No one can make me laugh more than he can. I think he's so funny. He thinks I'm probably the only person who thinks he's funny. Some nights we'll just lay in bed talking and laughing and then I get this overwhelming feeling of happiness when I realize this is my life, this is what I have to look forward to for eternity. The happiness I feel now, plus so much more!

So this is probably one of the only pictures we have of just the two of us from our Hawaii trip. Too bad i look like a wet dog. oh well, that's not the point. The point is that I love it because it brings back sooo many memories. Good memories. We swam with turtles this day...ah take me back!!

Luckily for us the Condo we rented happen to be about a block away from the Hawaii Temple so we got to drive by it every day. We went to the visitors center and talked with the sister missionaries and that's when I took this picture. I wish we would have had/made time to go do baptisms while we were there. Oh well, guess we'll just have to go back!

The gang on a little canoe ride at the Polynesian cultural center. Yeah, I totally got to ride on the front! Pretty exciting place. Learned a lot of cool stuff their about different cultures and even watched a cool dance/play production involving fire!

One of our many beach days. These guys were awesome to travel with.

Anyways, as much as I loved Hawaii and that warm tropical heat I wouldn't trade it for what I am doing now. As I'm sitting here writing this I can hear the amazing thunder storm outside. One that my husband and I just enjoyed together, cuddling under an umbrella, watching the lightening strike. Four months married and couldn't be happier!

Zion Biking and Family Lovin!

Zion National Park is one of the prettiest places around Southern Utah! People travel from all around the world just to come and see it's beauty. Considering how close we live we can't take it for granted. Surprisingly one of our favorite times to head up there ...is late at night! That's right, nighttime. When you think it's too dark to enjoy it because you can't see anything. You're wrong. Our friend Gump came up with this brilliant Idea. We load up our bikes and head up to Zion, planning to get there just in time to park at the Church at the bottom of town and catch the last bus up to the top around 8-9:30. We load our bikes onto the bus rack or just take them with us inside then after chilling at the top drop off until all the buses have gone down for the night along with random cars...then it's time! We just coast on down through the beautiful mountains and switchbacks usually enjoying the night crisp air. If we are lucky we choose a night when there's a full moon which lights up the whole canyon! We usually try to stop at a little lookout for snacks or we'll go do a night hike after we finish biking at the overlook. I'm telling you...everyone needs to try this! It's one of our favorite things to do!!

This weekend was so nice and relaxing! Saturday we got to sleep in, then we helped Steve & Shannon prune some trees in the backyards which wore us out so we took a little nap on the lawn under the tree with cat. He loves Ethan and always has to sleep right in between us! Saturday was also RSL game day, so of course we had to wear our jersey/shirts for good luck. It totally worked because it was a killer game. We won 3-2!

Sunday we went to Hurricane and ate with the family. Then of course it was croquet time! The girls even played a game...with our own made up rules. I came in second but should have easily taken first if I hadn't choked! haha Got to see all the kids and babies! Even got to cuddle for a good amount of time with both the babies. Gosh I love family time on Sundays. I am so blessed with an amazing family and wonderful husband!! Here's just a bunch of photos from the day!

Uh oh, Sucking her thumb at an early age! But it's just so stinkin cute!

These two are best buds. Glad they have each other to keep themselves entertained!
